Ceramic Artist
Guðrún Halldórsdóttir's first encounter with pottery and sculptural cermics was in Boulder, Colorado in 1987. She finished her degree in Arts from Brookdale Community College in New Jersey in 1997. From 1990 to 2005 she worked in the U.S.A. She attended workshops with many widely recognized ceramic artist and showed her work widely in States where her art was recognized and awarded.
Guðrún has been working in Iceland since 2005 and showing her art both domesticly and in Europe, such as in Estonia and a travelling exhibition in Russia, to name a few. Guðrún's work is either handbuilt or thrown on a potter's wheel. She uses her own unique mix of glazes. Her work of art can be found in art museums in the States and in art lovers homes all over the world.
